Leverage the MediaRadar Magnifier Solution to search for competitive messaging trends.
Helps answer key business questions, including:
What are the competitor's messages and are they working?
What new messages are they releasing?
Have they ceased a certain message or messaging through a specific media channel that could be an indication that the approach was not working?
How it Works:
Select your Creative Dashboard.
Run a Search containing the keywords from your messaging to determine if you
are differentiated from your competition.
Example: Keyword "holiday"
2. Select your Date Range.
In the "Ad Status" field, select Running. This will allow you to see messaging on
all ad campaigns that ran, not just new campaigns.
3. Click Refine Search.
Choose Advertiser and click Add Filters.
4. The Advertiser filter will emerge into the Dashboard View.
Click on the Advertiser drop-down menu. Your custom list of brands will appear
in the pop-up box.
Search for or select the advertisers needed.
Example: McDonald’s, Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks
Once you make your filter selections, click Search.
5. The Dashboard will load to show all activity running during the time period
selected, specific to the keyword holiday.
6. Scroll down to the bottom of the Dashboard page to view your results in Table
View, for holiday activity.
Select the layout view drop-down, located on the right, to view other options, such
as Thumbnail View and Details View.
The Thumbnail View will allow you to view the ad images itself.
The Details View will show all associated metadata for the creative ad.
The keyword will be highlighted in green, anywhere there is a mention.
7. You can customize the visible fields while in Table View.
Select the Field Options chip, locatd at the bottom-right corner of the Table View.
Quickly customize the visible fields by adjusting the fields order, adding hidden
fields, or removing visible fields.
In this example, Description has been added as a Visible Field.
The Description filed will allow for better understanding the messaging for my
selected advertisers.
Finsh adding any other fields you would like to see visible, then click Apply.
8. Your results will update. You can adjust the columns and organize the layout as
you wish.
Once ready, select Export Results.
A Popup box will appear with a variety of formats.
In this example, I will title my export as “ Holiday Activity” and select Ad List
– XLS.
Then click Send.
9. The excel format of your search results will include all of the metadata
associated with the ad, including a description of the ad.
Open the excel spreadsheet and search for your keywords.
In this example, search for Holiday by using the Ctrl F shortcut key. This will allow
you to quickly see the different messages associated with the advertisers of
interest.
Click on the View Ad hyperlink, located in the Creatives column to view the ad in its entirety.
